An Engagement to Remember: Ella & Nick at Hotel Northland


Imagine stepping onto the set of a 1920s movie, where everything has that classic elegance and charm. That’s exactly what it felt like capturing Ella and Nick’s engagement session at the iconic Hotel Northland in Green Bay. From the moment we arrived on that early summer Saturday morning, the entire experience was like a frame out of a classic movie.


The Hotel Northland, with its beautiful architecture and timeless details, set the perfect stage for Ella and Nick’s session. We had the whole place to ourselves, which felt like a gift. The blue and white sign over the entrance was an absolute must for a few classy shots—it perfectly adds to the old-school vibe this historic hotel exudes. Every detail, from the rich wood interiors to the vintage light fixtures, seemed to mirror Ella and Nick’s warm personalities.  


Ella and Nick are one of those couples who just light up the room. Ella’s infectious laugh and Nick’s easygoing charm made every moment so natural and fun. It wasn’t hard to see how much these two adore each other—those laughs, little glances, and the way Nick always reached for Ella’s hand said it all.

After exploring the hotel, we took a little detour to Amphora Wine Bar


Which added a completely different vibe to their session. Ella had a quick outfit change into a chic white cocktail dress, and suddenly, the session took on a fresh, modern energy. Champagne being poured, direct flash lighting giving a cool editorial edge, and Ella and Nick just living their best lives. The staff at Amphora were incredible, letting us have the space before their evening service. It was the perfect combination of sophistication and fun.

Early summer brought that golden light we photographers dream of, and it felt like the city of Green Bay itself was cheering on Ella and Nick. The gentle warmth, the quiet streets, and the charm of the locations all worked together to create a setting that was uniquely theirs.
